How to Apply for Funding
Thank you for your interest in the Komen Affiliate grants program. To be eligible to apply for a Komen Community-Based Grant, your organization must be:
- A federally tax-exempt entity — nonprofit organization, government agency, educational institution or Indian tribe.
- Located in the specified affiliate service area.
Priority will be given to projects that address the following needs, as identified through a community needs assessment:
- Programs that provide resources for breast health care outreach and education
- Programs that provide breast cancer screening, diagnostics and/or treatment for those women who are in need of breast health services and do no otherwise qualify for existing programs.
- Programs that focus on breast cancer prevention of modifiable risk factors such as alcohol consumption, inactivity, stress, and weight using a variety of therapies.
- Programs that provide needed support services in under served areas of Mid-Missouri.
