How to Fundraise

Fundraising is easy with online fundraising tools!  When you registered for the Race you automatically received your own fundraising website which can be personalized.  Start now by logging in, and encouraging everyone you know to visit your site, see what you are doing in the fight against breast cancer and make a donation on your behalf.

The Participant Center houses your personal fundraising website.  There, you will find e-mail templates to make sending e-mails to your friends and families as easy as can be!  From the Participant Center you are able to set up your personal webpage, send e-mails to friends, co-workers and connect with friends on Facebook. Be sure to check your participant center often for new donations and messages. Thanks for making an impact and we'll see you at the Race!

Please click here to download a mail-in fundraising form.

Mail-in fundraising forms must be received by 9/1/2010 for donations to be credited toward your fundraising goal.  Any forms received after that date will be counted as general Race donations. Forms should be mailed to:
Komen Mid-Missouri Race for the Cure®
3301 W Broadway, Ste C
Columbia, MO 65203

Participants: Be sure to include your full name and complete contact information on the form so that we may inform you of additional donations received on your behalf. Also on the form - please be sure to list the full names and addresses of people who make donations on your behalf so that we may send them their tax-deductible receipt.

Every dollar makes an impact – thank you for everything you do!

Here are some EASY and FUN ways to raise funds:

  • Casual Fridays – Have employees donate $X amount to “dress down” on Friday.
  • Work Raffles – Raffle off a vacation day, reserved parking spot, “sleeping in,” and/or dinner with the President or CEO of your company.
  • Food and Drink Runs – Make a coffee/lunch/snack run and ask for tips in the form of donations.
  • Lunch Donations – Whip up something yummy for lunch and “charge” your co-workers donations to eat.
  • Talk About It – Do you have a great story? Include your personal breast cancer message in your emails and letters to family, friends, and co-workers.
  • Stuff. We. All. Get. (Swag) – Is your desk (or house) cluttered with swag? Get together with your co-workers and auction it all off. Give an award for the best (worst) piece of swag?
  • Host an Event – Host an event in your home such as a bingo night, video game or poker tournament, basketball game, or board game night with all proceeds going to the Race for the Cure.
  • Play to your talents – Are you an amazing cook? Do you love to sew quilts? Are you a social butterfly? Play to your talents when fundraising. You are your greatest inspiration.
  • Recycling Donations – Bring a recycling bin and a (secure) donation jar to work, church, or school. Charge $X for you to recycle on behalf of your friends, family, and co-workers.
  • It’ll grow back! – How much would you pay to see your boss, principal, pastor, siblings etc. shave their head for breast cancer? Collect donations, publicize your event, and let the fun begin! Be sure to take lots of pictures!
