Are strollers allowed at the race?
Strollers are permitted at the race.
Are rollerblades, skateboards, bikes, Heelies allowed at the race? May I bring my pet to the race?
For the safety of all participants, rollerblades and pets are discouraged from participating in this event. Thank you for your cooperation.
How much does it cost to register?
For Adults, ONLINE registration is only $30 until Aug.22. For Sleep In and Pink in the Pew participants and paper applications, the fee is $35. Kids for the Cure can register for $15. Kids 5 and under are free, but only those children who register will receive a t-shirt. All who walk the route need to sign a waiver.
What time is the race?
Race Day Registration begins at 6:00 a.m. The 5K Timed Run starts at 8:30 a.m. with Timed runners, Un-timed Run begins at 8:40 a.m and Walkers start at 8:45 a.m.
Where is the race?
Columbia, MO - Mizzou Sports Park.
What is the distance of the race?
You may participate as a runner or a walker in the 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles).
Is the race certified?
The course certification MO10037BG.
What happens if it rains on race day?
The Race for the Cure occurs rain or shine. However, we reserve the right to cancel the Race for the Cure in extreme circumstances. If the Race for the Cure is cancelled, no refunds will be issued. Instead, your entry fee, donations and pledges will be used as a donation to the Komen Mid-Missouri Race for the Cure.
Where can I pick up my T-Shirt and Race bib?
Team Captains will pick up their entire team's packet items on September 12-18th. Individual packet pick up will be September 12-18th.
When does registration end?
On-line registration will end September 11th. In-person registration will take place September 12-18th.
Where does my money go?
Up to 75% of the proceeds from the Race stay here in the Mid-Missouri area. The money you raise & donate to support the Komen Race for the Cure is tax-deductible.
How can friends and family make an online donation?
You can make an online donation by clicking here. You may also bring donations to the registration tent on Race day or mail them to Susan G. Komen Mid-Missouri Race for the Cure, 3301 W Broadway, Ste C, Columbia, MO 65203.
Do I have to fundraise?
You do not have to fundraise, although every dollar earned makes an impact. Together, we can save lives! Will you go the extra mile? Thank you for everything you do!
Can I volunteer for the race?
Yes! Volunteers play a vital role in the Susan G. Komen Mid-Missouri Race for the Cure®. Their passion and commitment is what makes our Race successful. We need leaders, thinkers, movers and shakers, educators, communicators…all types of talented people. Please contact office@komenmidmissouri.org if you would like to volunteer for the Race.
How do I form a team?
If you haven't registered for the Race yet, you can click here to register online and select "Start a Team" or "Join a Team." Search for the name of the team you want to join and select it. If you are already registered for the Race as an individual, you need to contact the Race Teams committee if you want to form or join a team.
Is it required to form a team?
No, you can register as an individual participant.
Where are team captain packet pick-ups?
Team captain packet pick-ups will be September 12-18th.
How can I see who is on my team?
Go to your Participant Center and click the “Team Progress” tab; this will allow you to view your Team roster and the amounts raised by each Team Member.
How many people make a team?
A team is any group of 5 people or more who want to participate in the Race as a group. There is no limit to the number of members you can have on your team.
I am a survivor, where do I pick-up my race shirt, survivor shirt, and hat?
Your shirt will be in your Race Packet.
What is the Survivor Tent?
The Survivor Tent is a VIP Area for Survivors (and one guest) only. Enjoy a light brunch, door prizes and special treats, all for Survivors on Race Day.
